Director of Food Safety To Serve on University’s School of Food Science Board
Jon Bafus, National’s VP-Operations & Food Safety, will help promote food science teaching, research and outreach as he serves on the newly revitalized Washington State University – University of Idaho School of Food Science External Advisory Board for a three year term. Representatives from the nation’s top food companies and associations will serve with Jon on the Board.
“Our relationship with the university goes way back,” said Jon. “We work together to promote advances in the field and to develop young talent. Technology plays a much greater role in Agriculture and Food industries these days. Program graduates have learned the latest techniques and are ready to take on the challenges of modern-day farming and food processing.”
Several National employees are graduates of the Food Science program, including Jon himself.
